This lecture provides a systematic approach to prescribing orthoses relative to the patient's pathology. Simple determinants are provided for materials, cast corrections and orthotic additions to improve clinical outcomes. The lecture further focuses on treating two conditions with orthoses plantar fasciitis with heel pain and the pediatric habitual toe walker.

 Goal and Objective
After participating in this activity, the viewer should be better able to:
1. Understand the concept of pathology-specific orthotics.
2. Appreciate the common diagnoses that may be treated.
3. Describe and prescribe orthotic characteristics.
4. Apply orthotic treatment to heel pain
