    Biomechanically, both surgically and nonsurgically DPM's prefer to be carpenters rather than engineers.

    Why not step out of your toolbox and consider a tendon balancing procedure a la Dr LaBorde from LSU Medical Center such as a peroneus longus lengehening or tenotomy incorporated with foot centering technology in the props and training you would intervene postop?

  • 1. Make sure you resect the periosteum when you resect the head. Otherwise it increases the likihood of regrowth.
    2. Why aren't you performing Weil osteotomies on the lesser mets? Don't you get a dorsal bump the way you describe it?
