I've had it explained that pulse ox or % saturation is not a reliable measure of flow in and of itself. I'm not really sure why and only sorta followed the explanation.

What I did understand was that the number by itself [%saturation] was relatively meaningless. But if it improved after some intervention then it was meaningful and if there was no change it was again meaningless.

SO,,, I guess a simple poll to hopefully gauge the state of the art in podiatry on this one topic.

We/I use pulse ox measurement [% O2 Saturation] as a measure of small vessel perfusion.
