I had a matrixectomy on my right great toe three months ago. The toe has completely healed but I still have pain in and around the joint area from where the numbing injections were given. It only hurts if I push down on the joint with my fingers, lift my toe upwards or lift the toenail up. Is this due to the injections/procedure and is this common/expected after this type of procedure? The numbing injections were extrememly painful as they were given.
