This is the first of a 2 part pharmacology review by Kay Kyllonen, Pharm. D. Her lecture focuses on medications relevant to the practice of podiatry. These include, among others, anti-diabetic agents, anti-coagulants, NSAIDS, aspirin, glucocorticoids, and gout medications. The indications, mechanisms of action, side effects, and drug interactions of these medications are discussed. Pertinent clinical tips are presented.
