The content of this program will serve to illustrate a variety of fixation options for forefoot, midfoot and hindfoot/ankle fusions. Attendees will be able to gain insight on relative pros and cons of fixation choices through a case based review.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify optimal forefoot fixation constructs based on strength and union rates.
  2. Identify optimal hindfoot fixation constructs based on strength and fixation rates.
  3. Identify other pros and cons of fixation choices such as cost, influence on soft tissue and surgical time.
